For one listening I heard the song "Everything" from Michael Buble but the song really like me so one hour later I was singing the song and I sang the song all the next week, really I still singing the song each time that I remember it.

Reflection.
When you were in contact with english you can understand it better and I think that this semester I lerned to be in contact with it and I like it very much because I learned a lot.

Activity.

Talking with my sister.

My sister talks in english very well so when I need help I go with her to ask. One day I were talking with her about my english class. I told her that it was very difficult to me because I like english but I never practice.

She lived in Boston for a year and there she learned a lot so wheh I tolk with her she told me that if I want she can practice with me. This was a great idea because I know that if I need help I can go with her and I could ask for sometime that I don't understand.

Reflection.

When you practice your english it's more easy and you get more trust.

Talking with Veronica.

Really I don't remember what day was but one day in the SAC I tolk with my classmate Veronica about one listening that I did about the movie "A walk to remember". She said that she had the book of that movie and she told me if I want to read it she could borrowed me. I love that movie so I said yes inmediatly. She told me that if the movie like me I will love the book because is better than the movie.

Some days later she brought the book to school and make a copy for my because the book was of her mom.

Many days later she ask me if I read the book but really I didn't read it because I haven't time to do it and I promised her that I will be reading the book on vacations.

Reflection.

I like talk with veronica because was an excellent opportunity to practice my english.

Gone

Activity.
Listening the song "Gone" from N'sync.

This song is very sad;talks about a man who misses his girlfriend. For him there's a thousand words that he could say to make her come home but the truth is that she left him alone.
He can't get her out of his mind and every moment he is wishing that he could touch her face but the truth remains...she is gone.
He explain that he was trying to be a man and be strong but he ask her that if is something to he can do to change the situation please she tell him because he can't live without her.
By the time he is searching things to do for don't think in her but he has the hope that some day she will be return.

Reflection.
This song was more difficult but I can understan something. I need more practice and maybe in this way I can do better my listening.

In the song the man explain how he feels about she. He say that in this crazy live and through this crazy times It's she his world, his everything.
He say that when she smile him she know exactly what she do because she can do that he feel so happy being with her.
For him she is a mistery, she is every minute of his every day.
He can't believe that she can be with him but for him she is every song and he sing along for that reason cause she is his everything.

Reflection.
With this activity I could see that I'm not to bad for listening in english but a little practice would be good.

The Last Journal

Oh my God!!!I can't believe it!!This is my last journal !!!!I'm very happy because I almost finished this semester!!Really I have to say that I'm proud of me because I think I had a big progress on english.I know that I have a lot to learn yet but this is a big important advance for me.I never imagine that I can do it because english it's very difficult to me but today I can say that I did it.However, I have to confess that yesterday I had exam of englis and really I don't know how I was because in the section of listening I didn't understand anything and was a trauma for me but really was very difficult the voice of the people in the listening was horrible and was impossible understand something but I hope pass the exam.

The next week it's my last week on the school.I will have exams and homework to do but is the end and I have to do it.

I'm very happy because Christmas will be in three weeks and I love Christmas because I pass a wonderful time with my family and friends and this year something different will that I will Christmas with my boyfriend.

Well, I don't have more to say but I want to thank the teacher Amber for this excellent last semester of english.Good bye.

Hi!!Well this week has been very quiet.On Saturday I went to the house of my boyfriend and we were there all nignt,we had dinner and then I went to my house.On Sunday I went to the church and then I went to the house of my boyfriend again.We went to the Macroplaza and after that we return to his house to eat something.We wanted to go to Xmatkuil but it was very cold and we prefered to stay at his house.On Monday I stayed in my house because I haven't class but I had to study because I were going to have exam the next day.On tuesday I went to school, did my exam and after I had another exam but this time of english and really I think was some difficult but I did all that I can.Yesterday was very quiet too and today I went to the SAC to do my two hours and I did my homework and after I return to my house because I have a horrible headache.I didn't go to my class of english but was because I don't feeling very well so see you the next thursday.Bye.

Next the company fully accepts the innovation and it becomes a full part of the business's product range. This place is called integration. The final phase is called decline. Perhaps technology moves on or consumer demand changes and the idea or product is no longer needed.

Hi!!How are you?I'm fine,only fine,jaja!Really I haven't felt good this week but what else can I do?Anything only live with all that God has given me.Well,this week I had a lot of homework and I had exam of statistics and was very difficult and confuse but finally I think I was good.Later,I received the best invitation of mi life: I was invited to coordinate a retreat again but this time during four days!!Really I'm afraid but I think that I can do it.I know that it's very difficult but with the help of my team I'm shure I'm gonna make it.

Today I'm very happy but in this moment I have I headache!!The pain it's very strong and I have homework to do yet,so I hope to finish.

Addiction:What can be done about it?

Activity.
Summary about addiction.

An addiction is a physiological or psychological dependence on a substance or activity.Physiological dependence means that the body has become accustomed to a drug and needs these chemicals just to function and is determined when a person experiences tolerance and withdrawal. Tolerance means that the body becomes used to the effect of the drug.Withdrawal occurs when the person stops taking a drug on which he or she is physiologically dependent and experiences painful physical symptoms. Psychological dependence means that a person comes to depend on the feeling received from a drug. The person believes that he or she can control the use of the drug and is not causing any harm.

Intervention.

Means interrupting the downward slide before the addict hits bottom.The addicted person usually meet first with a drug and alcohol counselor and someone from a support group such as Alcoholocs Anonymous to learn about addiction and discuss how they have been affected by it.

Recovery.

Entails 3 important steps: The first is recognize that there is a problem with alcohol or drugs.The second is make the decision to give them up.the third step is to actually remove these drugs from the body.This process is called detoxification and shoul take place under medical supervision.Alcoholism and drug dependence cannot be cured.They can,however, be prevented from progressing further

Treatment Choices.

A support group is a group of people who share a common problem and work together to help each other and themselves to cope with and recover from that problem.Regular attendance at such support groups is the most popular form of ongoing treatment for addictions.Alcohol and drug treatment centers offer a wide range of services:

• Detox units that help an addict through detoxification.
• Inpatient treatment centers are facilities where a person stays for a month or more.
• Outpatient treatment centers.The patient live at home during the treatment but he or she Have to spend a few hours each day at the center.
• Halfway houses.Offer housing, counseling and support meetings for 6 months to a year.

Codependency.

Some people who live with an alcoholic or drug addict become codependent.Codependents try to protect the addict from facing the consequences of the drug problem. They lie for the addict, lend money and make excuses.Such actions, of course, do not help the addict.

Reading about international culture.

If people want to be successful in global business, they must understand the cultures of other countries and learn how to adapt to them, or change their practices in different cultures.It's important to avoid business decisions that are based on misconceptions (mistaken ideas).

One cause of misconceptions is ethnocentrism, the belief that one's own culture's way of doing things is better than the way of other cultures.Ethnocentrism can exist in an individual person or in an organization.

To avoid ethnocentrism, it's necessary to study the different elements of culture. These include language, religion, values, customs and material elements.

Language.

The lenguage it's very important for everybody because is the most important way to communicate directly whit other people and people are usually more open in their communication with someone who speaks their language.Other reason is that knowing the language helps people to understand the culture better.

Religion.

Religion influences everything about people, including their work habits. A religion person always think in their religion before do something.

Values and Attitudes.

Values are people's basic beliefs about the difference between right and wrong, good and bad, important and unimportant. An attitude is a way of thinking or acting.Values and attitudes influence international business.

Customs and Manners.

Customs are common social practices. Manners are ways of acting that the society believes are polite. Each country have their own customs and manners for this reason International Business need to understand the customs and manners of other countries or they will probably have difficulty selling their products.

Material Culture.

Material culture means the things that people make or own. We need to think about how people make things (technology) and who makes them and why (economics). International business need to consider the country's economic infrastructure, the social infrastructure and the financial infrastructure.

These and other elements of culture help to explain the differences among people of different cultures. Without an understanding of cultures, global businesses will not be successful.

With this reading I can see that for a global business is really necessary know about the different ways to think and acting from the people.

Hello!! Here I’m again and this time I’m going to talk about me.
My name is Elisa Noemi Quijano Novelo and I was born on February 25th, 1989 in Merida Yucatan,Mexico. Actually I have 19 years old and I’m studying the career of Marketing and International Business in FCA.
Since my 15 years old I have migraine and my life isn’t very easy for that reason. Always I have to fight with the pain and sometimes the pain is more than I.
I’m in an apostolic group and this group is an important part of my life. I love my service in this group and I’m going to be in there for much time.
About my family I have four sisters, one brother, my parents and four nephews.
Besides I have boyfriend, his name is Juan Ramon and I love him so much and the next day 14 we are going to have five months together.

Finally,only can say that I'm a good student,a good friend, a good person and a good daughter.

The Mona Lisa

Reading about the Mona Lisa

This is probably the most famous painting in the World. It is the Mona Lisa and it was painted by Leonardo da Vinci.
The original painting is the Louvre Museum in Paris.
The paint have two things that surprised at the people: First, people feel the eyes of the painting looking at them wherever they stand, because da Vinci’s model was looking straight at him when he was painting her. Second, people are often surprised by how small the beautiful painting is.
In 1910, the management of Louvre Museum decided that it was necessary to put glass security; a team of glaziers was employed to do the job. One guy of the team was Vicenzo Peruggia. One night a mystery man called Il Signore told Peruggia that he had a plan to steal the Mona Lisa and he asked to help him for money and Peruggia accepted.
Il Signore told Peruggia to find out everything he could about the security systems employed at the Louvre. Il Signore would never had been able to get all the inside information he needed about the Louvre Museum.
Several months after, when the cleaning and maintenance staff arrived to the museum, the three men went where the Mona Lisa was hanging and they take the painting. They have successfully stolen the Mona Lisa.
The police began investigating the theft.
Il Signore never came to collect the painting so Peruggia thought it would be a good idea to try and sell the painting, but when he try to sell it the dealer and the expert from the Uffizi Museum knew that the painting had been stolen and called the police and Peruggia was arrested. The painting was returned to the Louvre.
But where was Il Signore al this time? Nobody knew. Il Signore has six amazing forgeries of the Mona Lisa and he sells it and got much money.
Many people believe the robbery of the Mona Lisa was the perfect crime, but actually the Leonardo de Vinci’s masterpiece will ever be stolen again.

I can learn more about one topic that I been listening but never interesting me but the history about Mona Lisa is really interesting.

Writing about the Euthanasia

The term Euthanasia comes from the Greek words “eu” meaning good and “thanatos” meaning death, which combined means “dying-well” or “well-death”. Euthanasia refers to the practice of ending a life in a painless manner.

Classification of Euthanasia.

Euthanasia by consent.
Euthanasia may be conducted with consent (voluntary euthanasia) or without consent (involuntary euthanasia).Involuntary euthanasia is conducted where an individual makes a decision for another person incapable of doing so.

Euthanasia by means.
Euthanasia may be conducted passively, non-actively and actively. Passive euthanasia entails the withholding of common treatments or the distribution of a medication to relieve pain, knowing that it may also result in death.
Non-active euthanasia entails the withdrawing of life support and is more controversial.
Active euthanasia entails the use of lethal substances or forces to kill and is the most controversial means.
Assisted suicide is an active voluntary euthanasia.

Reasons given for a voluntary euthanasia:

- Choice: Proponents of voluntary euthanasia emphasize that choice is a fundamental principle for liberal democracies and free market system.
-Quality of life: The pain and suffering a person feels during a disease, even with pain relievers, can be incomprehensible to a person who has not gone through it.
-Economic costs and human resources: Today many countries there is a shortage of hospital space. The energy doctors and hospital beds could be used for people whose lives could be saved instead.

Reasons given against voluntary euthanasia:

-Professional role: Critics argue that voluntary euthanasia could unduly compromise the professional roles of health care employees, especially doctors.
-Moral: Some people consider euthanasia of some or all types to be morally unacceptable. This vie usually treats euthanasia to be a type of murder and voluntary euthanasia as a type of suicide, the morality of which is the subject of active debate.
- Theological: Voluntary euthanasia has often been rejected as a violation of the sanctity of human life. Specifically, some Christians argue that human life ultimately belongs to God, so that humans shouldn’t be the ones to make the choice to end life.
-Feasibility of Implementation: Euthanasia can only be considered “voluntary” if a patient is mentally competent to make the decision has a rational understanding of options and consequences.
- Necessity: If there is some reason to believe the cause of a patient’s illness or suffering is or will soon be curable.
- Wishes of family: Family members often desire to spend as much time with their loved ones as possible before they die.
- Consent under pressure: Patients may experience psychological pressure to consent to voluntary euthanasia rather than be a financial burden on their families.

Hi!!Today I'm very happy because the last weekend was wonderful. I were in a retreat and I can say that all was perfect and I enjoyed it very much. It was very tired but it was incredible. I don't know how can I explain it but I felt many things during my retreat; I was happy,angry and tired but God gave the strength to continue.
During the retreat I can learned many things from the people arround me and many things about me. I still feel tired but don't care me because was a great experience.
This week the school has been very boring and the weather doesn't help very much really there has been much colder and only want to sleep but I can't do it because I have a lot of things to do.
Every day I have to take care of my nephews and besides I have to do my homework so I don't have time to sleep so I wait at nigth and sleep like an angel.

The Lake House

Seeing the movie "The Lake House"

This movie talks about an architect living in 2004 and a doctor living in 2006. The two are introduced and share correspondence across the years by leaving letters in a mailbox at the lake house they have both live in at separate points in time.

The Dr.Kate Foster lives in a beautiful house she's been renting; a home with glass walls that overlook a placid lake. When she goes to the house, she leaves a note in the mail box for the next tenant.

Alex Wyler a frustrated architect arrives at the lake house and finds the note.

Kate an d Alex continue their correspondence through the lake house's mystical mailbox and they confirm that they are strange as it may seem living two years apart. Sharing this unusual bond, they reveal more of themselves to one another with each passing week.

They fall in love but Kate begins to woner if she has been making a mistake focusing so much of her emotional energy on a man who she doesn't known and she asks Alex not to contact her again to "Let me let you go"and stops coming to the mailbox for his letters.

Two years later Kate discover that the man was die in her arms two years ago in the terrible traffic accident was Alex and run to the lake house to leave him a note, but is to late. Alex is runing to find her.

Finally the accident doesn't happen and Kate and Alex can be together

Humans vs. Primates

Activity.
Comparing humans with other primates.

There is a large gap between primate society and fully developed human culture.However, studies of primates have revealed many similarities.

Many of the differences between humans and other primates are differences in degree rather than in kind.For example, monkeys learn from experiences, but humans learn much more.

Common to monkeys, apes and humans is the fact that behavior and social life are not rigidly programmed by the genes. All these animals learn throughout their lives.

Monkeys and apes can learn from experience.

For monkeys as for people, the ability to learn, to profit from experience, gives a tremendous adaptive advantage, permiting them to avoid fatal mistakes. Anthropologists used to distinguish humans from other animals as tool users, and there is not doubt that Homo does employ tools much more than any other animal does.

Only humans speak.However, evidence is accumulating that linguistic ability is also a quantitative rather than a qualitative difference between humans and other primates, especially gorillas and chimps.

Like people, chimps communicate through facial expressions, noises and body movements.Other primates also use calls to communicate messages to other members of the group.

Although,wild primates use call systems, the vocal tract of apes is not suitable for speech.

Several apes have learned to converse with people through means of Ameslan, used by deaf and mute people.

Humans appear to be the most cooperative of the primates.Except for meat sharing by chimps, the ape tendency is to forage individually. Monkeys also fend for themselves in getting food.

Another diffenrence between humans and other primates involves mating. Human pair.bonds for mating tend to be more exclusive and longer lasting than are those of chimps.

Related to our more constant sexuality, all human societies have some form of marriage.

Marriage creates another major contrast between humans and nonhumans: exogamy and kinship systems.

The systems of kinship and marriage that preserve these links provide a major contrast between humans and other primates.

Hello!!Yesterday I haven't time to do my journal so I have to do it right now.Well,this week I had a lot of things to do. I will have a retreat this weekend and I have many things to prepare and isn't very easy. The best of all these is that I have A wonderful team and they help me very much,without they I don't know how I do it;they and God are my support.
All week I have been slept very late and arrived at school so tired but that don't care me because I love my service and the satisfaction that you get can't be compare with anything.
In my journal I always put things about my life because is the best that I can have and enjoy each moment of it.

Most people want to love their jobs.They want to feel happy each they witn their jobs but,¿How do you find a job that you can love?

Richard I. Fein did an study about people who love their jobs and he can discovered that people in his study share certain characteristics and the must important are: They feel they are doing the best that they can do;they are doing what interests them and they believe that their work is important.

But,¿how do you find the job that's right for you?Well only need learn about yourself,discover what you do best, what interests you and most importantly discover your values.Then yo have to think about what you enjoy doing.Lifestyle is important too because is the way that you live your life.After that, don't forget to think about how important is the money for you and finally you have to find jobs that match your profile.

It's not always easy to think about you really are and what you believe in. Howevwr, it's the best way yo get to know yourself and it's the best way to find the job that's right for you.

Hello!!Here I'm again. Well, this week was very difficult to me because I didn't feel very well.This Monday was horrible because I felt so good all day but in my last class I began to felt very bad.My hands started to shake,my body didn't have strength and I felt an stomachache.I don't know what hapened but I felt bad all monday. The next day I were much better but my migraine began to annoy me. My life isn't easy always I'm sick but is my life and I have to live it on the best way that I can.
My family always be with me and they and God are my strength.
I'm a happy person and enjoy my life every moment because on this way I can feel me much better.

Today I'm going to talk about my family. First of all, I have to say that my family is very big. We are eigth: my dad,my mum, four sisters, one brother and I. The names of my sisters are: Heidi,Gaby,Mónica and Helena;my brother is Ariel and I'm Elisa.Three of my sister are married, my brother too and my other sister has boyfriend since 5 years ago so I have four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law,also my four nephews,so when all my family is in my house we are a total of 17 people.

I told you, my family is very,very big,but is the best family that I can have.

All the time that I need them they are ready to help me.

I love my family because every moment that I spend with them is incredible and they always see the good side of life.

If you ask me if I change something of my family the answer will be: NOTHING, because for me, my family is the best family in the world;obviously sometimes we have problems but always find the way to overcome any problem and obstacle.

Hi!!Well here I'm writing about mi life.This week was very hard;I had two exams but thanks God I pass both,really I think that they are very difficult but really were very easy.

Changing of subject I want to tell that only exist one thing that I hate very much and is do my homework of english.I know that it's my responsability but is very difficult to me to do it. I like english but at the moment to do my homework I can't do it.I feel that I have many things to say and express but when I try to writting I don't find the words to do it. Only think in english!!!Is my goal!!!Because for my career the english is very important.

Now my responsability is do all my homework in the best way that I can and if I have a mistake( that is the must sure )I'm going to learn about it.

Activity.

Well I'm going to talk about "Marketing" because this is the career that I course.The purpose of marketing is satisfy the needs and wishes from the people through the offer of many type of products.

One person dedicated to marketing have to know the different ways to convince to customers to buy something.

Marketing offer products, ideas and services to create exchange between people and organizations.

Marketing not only have to concentrate in actually needs and wants from the people, despite marketing have to think in future needs.

In marketing is really necesary divide at the people in segments of market.This mean that for each market there exist different types of needs because people have many kinds of thinking and this do that they need different products.For this reason I can tell that the must important for Marketing are the customers and they needs.

To do an excellent program of marketing it's very necesary considered four important points:Product,Pricing,Promocion and placement.

This activity was very difficult to me because I don't know how to write in english very well and during the activity I can't express that I want to express.

"A walk to remember"

Activity:

I saw the movie "A walk to remember";this movie talks about one popular and rebelious student that is punished with a mandatory service in his school.

During this service he meets a girl very different to him in all aspects but he sees in a need to ask her for help,she accepts with one condition:he has to promise not to fall in love with her.

During the time he spent with her he learned many things and finally he fell in love with her.

She had a list of all the things she wanted to do in her life so he tried to do the things of this list become true.

Finally she tells him that she has leukemia and she is gonna die.He doesn't accept this situation and tries to find a solution but was impossible.

They get married and a few months later she dies.

This movie talks about real love and all the things you can do when you are in love.

"Love is like the wind,you can't see it but you can feel it".And his movie is an example of how love can be a hope of live.

Reflection.

I like this activity because I feel is very important practice the english and doing this kind of activities I practice a lot and can see how much i need to do it.Despite I enjoy very much seeing how bad I'm listening in english.
